The Orchard Bee Association (OBA) is dedicated to building the Osmia industry for improved fruit and nut production.

Since 2009, scientists, growers, solitary bee keepers, entrepreneurs, and students from

around the world have been networking at an annual mason bee event. The Orchard Bee

Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

    About OBA

The Orchard Bee Association (OBA) is the world’s first nonprofit organization focused on the expanded utilization and protection of orchard bees (Osmia spp.) for large scale pollination and education. We partner with individuals and groups all over the world to support the research and growth of the orchard bee pollination industry.

  • OBA Certification

OBA has developed certifiable best practice guidelines for sustainably sourcing and managing orchard mason bees (Osmia spp.). It is our intent that if mason bee producers follow these guidelines, they will be able to produce the desired orchard bee populations to meet the industry demand with minimal impact to the environment.

  • OBA Membership

OBA members have direct exclusive access to all the latest research on orchard mason bees. We gather annually in a seldom seen collaboration of science, industry, education, and the public. Join us to connect with researchers, companies, and bee advocates from around the world who are dedicated to promoting the propagation and protection of wild bees. Everyone is welcome!
